Roy’s story of LifeBook in the media
Roy Moëd, Founder of LifeBook, was very pleased to be interviewed by Daily Mail about the inspiration behind LifeBook. Roy started LifeBook as an exercise to put purpose back into his dad’s life and give him a reason to look forward to tomorrow.
Here are some of the things he said:
The great anecdotes that came out of the sessions, such as learning about my dad’s first girlfriend and that my ancestor had been king of Poland for a day, were fantastic and completely changed my dad’s outlook on life.
The interviews quickly became the highlight of his week and I could see his confidence growing as he unlocked stories he never knew he had forgotten, reflecting on the highs and the lows with pride and contentment.
It was important to me to give them the chance to know his personality, his dreams and his jokes! I knew I had to share this experience with others and I set out with the thought that I would be happy if I could make just one more adult’s life that bit more fun and enjoyable.
Sadly, my father didn’t get the chance to complete his book but I treasure the pages we did complete for my family and future generations.
