Duncan Grossart and Angie Pinto each gifted their mothers a LifeBook project. When they attended the same event in Kigali, Rwanda, they met and kindly recorded this joint video testimonial.
In their conversation, Duncan and Angie reflect on the LifeBook process, uncovering striking similarities between their mothers’ experiences. They share how initial hesitations about discussing themselves quickly faded, thanks to the strong connections their mothers formed with their interviewers. They also discuss the ease of the process, the joy of revisiting old memories and photographs, and the profound impact that their LifeBook projects have had on their wider families.
As Duncan put it, creating a LifeBook has been “incredibly emotional and one of the best things I’ve ever done in life,” with his mother’s finished book destined to be “one of the greatest treasures we have in the family”.
